Dorian is the founder of Sphericality and is passionate about the healthy and steady heartbeat of its community. She expresses this by creating an environment steeped with character and integrity by example. “we are a pay it forward community.”  She believes that balance of body, mind and soul are the keys to ultimate strength and happiness.  Dorian is a Master Barre Teacher, Gyrotonic, TRX and tap n’ pow{h}er certified.

“It gives me great joy to see my clients grow in strength and confidence in every way. I am so proud of our studio. I hope that my three daughters will learn great lessons of empowerment by watching their Mom overcome and excel.”

Dorian is passionate about her three daughters, frozen dark chocolate, a good glass of chardonnay and her family and girlfriends.

Christine is a certified BarreAmped instructor with advanced credentials. She has been practicing Pilates for over 4 years, is a 3x ½ marathon runner and has been on a mind/body journey that began in Upstate NY, and has followed thru to NYC, NJ, PA and TN!
“I believe that everyone is on their own personal journey of physical fitness; some find it early in life and others later. Once the journey begins, it never ends and as an instructor I am dedicated to safely help my clients realize their personal fitness goals. Focus, energize and smile, you can do it!” Christine is a Mother of 3, who likes to sing and dance and play table tennis with her husband.

Rachael received her BarreAmped certification through Dorian at Sphericality. She fell in love with the method after taking classes at Sphericality and wanted to pursue teaching. Rachael says, " I feel energized watching my clients gain confidence as their minds and bodies change."  Rachael started dancing at the age of 3 and has enjoyed being active her entire life. She has always been disciplined with exercise from workouts at home to various studio classes. Good health through mindful nutrition and exercise is important to her in being a role model for her children and clients.  She lives in Branchburg with her husband and her two boys John and Michael and her daughter Peri and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Sphericality instructor Kelly Cresta's energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She bounces around the room as if she's walking on air, motivating each and every one of us. In this Instructor Spotlight, I asked Kelly about her background, her love of fitness, and what's in her refrigerator.


Whether she's teaching Pilates, TRX or Barre class, Kelly Cresta's energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She bounces around the room as if she's walking on air, motivating each and every one of us. And don't you feel a little thrill when she checks on your form and sings "Yaaasssss!"? I asked Kelly about her background, her love of fitness, and what's in her refrigerator.  Kelly grew up in Bridgewater, NJ with her parents and twin older brothers. She was always active growing up, dancing since she was four years old and playing field hockey and lacrosse in school. She attended Muhlenberg College, where she began getting more interested in fitness and nutrition. She double-majored in Media Communications and Dance.


She first fell in love with Pilates when she took a semester class in college. During that same semester, she tore her left ACL (for the 2nd time). "During my rehab I started to get obsessed with proper form during exercise," says Kelly. "I love being able to share my knowledge and teach people how to make themselves healthier and more fit in a safe way and in a safe environment.  In addition to teaching Pilates after college, Kelly was a professional dancer, working all over the world from the Tropicana in Atlantic City to internationally as a dancer/magician's assistant.   And now she's found her home at Sphericality. She currently lives in Stewartsville, NJ with her husband Phil and their Yorkie named Bella. "She is the greatest dog and best friend on the planet," says Kelly. "I'm sickly obsessed with her!" 


She also tells me that everyone in her family is a huge Disney fan. Who else thinks Kelly would be an amazing fitness Disney Princess.  I asked Kelly what she loves most about Sphericality. "I love the community!" she says. "It is a wonderful group of women who are determined to better themselves and support the women around them - and that is such a rare and beautiful thing. Nothing makes me happier than to see someone become stronger week after week not only on the outside, but on the inside as well.  No matter what is going on in my life, when I step into the studio everything melts away and I get to help people become healthier. There is no greater gift."


Then I asked her some fun, and some silly, questions...


What are five things you always have in your fridge?


"Vanilla yogurt, coffee creamer (currently pumpkin spice), broccoli, arugula, and carrots."

"Coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!"


What is your least favorite household chore?


"Cleaning the bathrooms."


Do you have a favorite quote?


"Everything happens for a reason." 


What is your favorite class to teach?


"I seriously love every class! That is what makes working at Sphericality great. I don't think I could pick just one. I've been teaching the Pilates / Yogalates format for the longest so that will always be close to my heart, but I love the strength and grace of Barre and Barre Bootcamp, the fusion of so many deciplines that is Tap n' PowHER, and the sheer awesomeness (there really is no better word) of TRX."  


What's your #1 fitness tip?


"Be confident and consistent!  When you are in class, really be present.  Lengthen your arms to their full capacity, squeeze those muscles as hard as you can! Never leave a workout feeling like you could have done more, leave it all in the studio. From there if you can be consistent and make working out an obsession (in the best sense of the word) you will be unstoppable!"

For Laura, keeping a balance in life has always been a key to her happiness. Exercise has always brought her this balance and so when the opportunity came to share that joy with others, she jumped on it.  She has been practicing BarreAmped since 2011 now and has been certified to teach for over a year.  She enjoys incorporating strength and balance into her barre classes with a focus on proper form and alignment. She loves the look on her students faces when they realize how strong they are and what their bodies are capable of.

In her time off of the barre Laura enjoys painting, spending time with her family, hiking and gardening.

Shelby received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through Inner Light Yoga Center in North Brunswick and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. She also holds teaching certifications in AFAA Group Fitness, Pilates, TRX, and most recently became a willpower and Grace instructor.

“My favorite aspect of teaching is inspiring and assisting others in reaching their goals. Sharing in the happiness of a student as they progress through their personal journey is an indescribable feeling. I also love that the fitness industry just keeps growing. I love to learn, create and share with others.”

Teaching provides me the ability to share my love and appreciation of what yoga can do for everyone. Yoga is so much more than just a physical work-out. It is a union of mind, body and spirit. It helps keep the body, mind and spirit healthy, happy and in harmony by promoting the body's natural healing ability.I believe we all need some quiet and stillness in our lives and yoga will help bring that to us.

Cindy has a 200 hr RYT, 100-hr yin yoga certification,restorative yoga certification, and is currently completing her 500 hr. degree to be a yoga therapist.She is also a Reiki Master/Teacher and Thai Yoga Massage Therapist.

"I live in Annandale with my wonderful husband, Bill, and my cat, Shakti. For my 'pay the bills' job I work full-time from home. For fun I like knitting, reading and bellydance."

Candice is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) from the Sphericality Laughing Buddha Yoga School with accreditation through Yoga Alliance.  Candice has been teaching yoga since 2014 and an active yoga practitioner for over 15 years.  Her yoga journey began first as a means of stress management, but quickly transformed into a passion, providing a deep source of balance and a guiding life philosophy.  Candice loves sharing the gift of yoga and is continually inspired by students as they awaken and transform their body and mind through this ancient practice.  As a Doctor of Pharmacy by profession, Candice has a special interest in yoga as “medicine”- therapy for the body, mind and spirit- a benefit she has realized in her own life.  Candice also incorporates pranayama (yogic breathing) into her classes, so the breath is used to guide the physical poses.  Her goal is to empower students to honor their body where it is today and to follow it as their own personal teacher and guide.


Candice also recently completed Reiki level 1 and 2 training.  Candice lives in Clinton Township with her husband, youngest son and dog.  She also has two grown sons and two adorable grandsons.
