Kristen's Story

In the months leading up to my fiftieth, I found myself reflecting on my life’s goals and accomplishments so far — where I was proud and pleased with my accomplishments and where I wanted to make greater strides. As a result, I found myself trying out a barre class at Sphericality last fall as a step towards addressing my "health/weight/body issues" once and for fall.

I am so fortunate that this is where I came that day. From the minute I walked in, I knew Sphericality was different from any other fitness center I had ever used. I felt so immediately welcome and included in classes where each one of us was working at her own level, listening to her own body’s signals at that point and time, towards achieving her own best self. This was totally new and refreshing to me in terms a fitness class!

I also can’t say enough about how much I enjoy and respect each of the instructors at Sphericality. I am awed by the professionalism and expertise of all the instructors — these classes get results! At the same time, all of them welcoming, approachable and fun. They have built a community of like minded people that want each other to succeed and be happy.

Six months later, I am feeling great about myself and am confident in a way that I have never been before that I will achieve my long-term health/weight/body issue goals. My muscles are getting toned which means that I feel strong and I have lost inches. I am also focusing on eating whole foods with good nutritional value, so I have lost weight too.

Because they know ME, they have noticed when I needed a little something extra. There have been times when I was floundering in frustration or negative thinking (and will most likely be again). An extra kind word or bit of encouragement about what I had already accomplished from Dorian or someone else got me right back on track.

I look forward to going to Sphericality for the great fitness classes and for all the extras that belonging to the Sphericality community provides.
