I haven't exercised in years.
What classes should I try?
We have an extensive offering of classes for beginners in every program. Never fear, we are here to help you select appropriate classes for your fitness level and goals.
I'm not flexible.
Can I participate?
Absolutely! Most of our clients come to us with this concern. This is one of the reasons you DO participate! Muscle and joint flexibility are so important to our health, and are crucial to our physical and mental well-being.
I'm not sure what to wear.
Is there a preference?
Whatever you are comfortable in. But try not to wear anything too loose or baggy. Our teachers make lots of corrections, so the better they can see your body, the more they can correct. All classes are done barefoot or in yoga socks which can provide extra support, traction and hygiene. We have them available for purchase at the studio.
I need someone to hold me accountable.
Ahhh my friend, you've come to the right place. Accountability is our forte. We have several accountability approaches for our members. All are fun and easy to use. Trust me too, we know what you want, and we watch your activity to make sure you get there.
Do I need to reserve a spot for every class?
Yes, we ask that you reserve your spot online. Our teachers customize their classes based on who attends. We also cap class attendance so the studios don’t get too crowded. If the class is full, your name will be put on the waiting list. If you have a smartphone, you can download our app and reserve/cancel classes right from there.
I'm pregnant.
Can I still take classes?
If you have been a member taking classes at least 30 days prior to your pregnancy, and we feel it is safe we absolutely encourage you to continue as long as you are feeling up to it. Our teachers are trained to offer modifications for pregnant women. We may require a doctor's release.
I feel like my diet is a big obstacle.
Oh, no worries there! This is a big concern for everyone. We understand that any exercise program is as good as the nutrition beside it and vice versa. We've got you covered with many options for nutrtion plans and guidance.
Everyone will be in shape but me.
I feel intimidated to start.
You aren’t alone! This is probably the #1 reason people don't workout. We have so many clients who have had those same feelings of intimidation, and not only due to weight. Some are smokers and are embarrassed about that. Some fell off the fitness wagon and feel weak. Some are going through menopause and feel like their body isn’t their own anymore. The list goes on. Our core values at the studio include acceptance and support of everyone who walks in the studio door. It takes guts for someone who feels shy or intimidated. We get that, and are proud of each and every one of our clients.
I am not very strong.
Will I feel out of place?
Not at all! You will be welcomed by your teacher and fellow clients with a big hello. Don’t be surprised if another client helps you settle in or if you hear a word of encouragement from a neighbor during class.
I don't have a yoga mat.
Do I need to buy one?
No. We have plenty of high quality mats for your use. If you prefer, you can bring your own or purchase one at our studio.
I have an injury or physical limitation.
Should I be concerned?
Our clients' safety is our number one concern. Our teachers are experts, and are trained to offer up modifications. Injuries and limitations, old or recent are always a concern. Be sure to share that information out on your profile when you arrive so we can update your records. Also, tell your teacher prior to class. If your injury required surgery, or if we deem necessary, we may require a signed release from your doctor.
I haven't been to the studio yet, where do I park?
Park in the rear of the building and then enter the building from the back. Head on up to the third floor. The room location is listed on the online schedule.
