Why Meditate?
Meditation is simply giving yourself time to sit and ponder. It allows your mind to go into a deep state of relaxation and thought. Sit on the floor, in a chair or just stand. Whatever works to help you focus on you.
The goal of meditation is to slow down, turn off, and ultimately attain a state of peace and tranquility. Meditation has been proven to reduce stress, help with weight loss, and improve overall quality of life. And, it's fairly effortless.

When in doubt, chill out
Guided meditation
We offer two styles of instructor-led meditation sessions: in person teacher and audio. Chill out on your own
Self-guided meditation
We offer several guided meditation sessions throughout the day. Check the schedule here. There are also times when the meditation room is not scheduled, giving you an opportunity to sit quietly or bring a guided meditation and a pair of headphones and go at your own pace. Bring a friend. Or two. Whatever keeps you chillin'! Cost: $5 (Members are free.)

Frequently asked questions
Meditation is not hard. It's also not yoga. Think you can't meditate? If you can sit (on the floor or in a chair), close your eyes, breathe and shut off your brain for a short period of time, you can meditate. (That last one is hard for all of us!)
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are typically 30 minutes. Sometimes longer. Occasionally shorter. Check the schedule.
Are the meditations guided?
All of our sessions are guided. Some will be guided by one of our certified meditation teachers. Some will be guided by audio. The focus and style of the meditation will vary.
Can meditation help me with weight loss?
Meditation is an effective stress buster – helping you to lower your cortisol levels and reduce belly fat. It can make you more aware of not only hunger management, but also the feelings associated with binge eating and how to address and cope with them.
What do I wear?
There is no dress code. Just wear comfortable clothes. Go barefoot or wear your favorite socks.
Do I bring my own cushion?
Meditation cushions, yoga mats, blankets and chairs are supplied. Give us a call if you have special needs.
How much does it cost and where do I sign up?
Register online and pay at the door. Cash only. Group sessions are free for members and $10 for non-members. When a group meditation is not in session and the studio is open, you are welcome to enjoy a self-guided practice. Cost is $5 for non-members.
