Sphericality is more than a fitness studio. It’s a community of friends who encourage and support one another.
Take the case of two Sphericality members who have come to be affectionately known as “The Dianes.” Diane F. And Diane P. are teachers at a local elementary school. Friends for 14 years, they like to spend time together doing outdoor activities and meeting for lunch. Last July, during one of those lunch meetings, Diane F. suggested they walk over to Sphericality to check it out. Diane P. used to be a member at another health club, but had surgery and wasn’t able to do most of the exercises. “I needed more modifications and help,” she says.
Once she walked into Sphericality, she thought, “THIS is what I have been looking for!”
“I love the variety,” says Diane P. “There are so many different classes to take that I never get bored. I combine challenging classes with stretching and stress-relieving classes each week. The teachers are so attentive to my needs, as I am older and have more limitations. At my age (65), it is important to stay moving or I will need an oil can like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz!” Sphericality’s classes are small (typically 10-15 people), and focus on core strength, balance, and flexibility in addition to muscle strength. And with BURST small-group training classes, members get extra, personalized attention in groups of 2-10. “I also love the atmosphere at Sphericality,” says Diane P. “It is so positive, and everyone is friendly and helpful. It feels like a ballet studio and somewhat zen-like.”
The Dianes also love the free cubbies to store your belongings and the cozy seating area, complete with drinks and snacks. “There are places to keep your things, and space to rest for a moment before or after class and chat with friends. The staff will sit and chat with you any time they are available and give you help with diet concerns and weight loss.” When I asked Diane P. if she feels healthier since joining Sphericality, she said, “I fit into my clothes better. I feel better about myself. I am happier. Sphericality is my new gem in Flemington! I love it here!” “Diane and I were always friends, but now we have one more thing in common,” says Diane P. And having a common health and fitness goal with a friend will help ensure success. So grab a friend and come on in to Sphericality!
