“Concinnity” n.harmony def: Harmony of elegance of design, in adaptation of parts to a whole or to eachother; internal harmony or fitness, mutual adaptation of parts. This is our philosophy of our Pilates Program, a form of body conditioning originally created by Joseph H. Pilates in the early 1920′s. Pilates is based upon a series of controlled movements that are centered around the body’s core muscles (abdomen, lower back and buttocks). With a strong core, the rest of the body is properly supported and balanced and can move with ease.
Pilates doesn’t stress the body in ways that lifting weights or high impact workout methods may, this is why Pilates is for everyone. You’ll see your bones and joints strengthen and your muscles tone and firm. But, most importantly as you work out and begin to feel better physically, you will also begin to feel better mentally.
You will be guided through an hour of movement utilizingng specifically designed spring-loaded machines and other props.
Your experienced instructor will insure personal attention and proper technique for maximum results.
